Not sure where to post this but it appears that this is the most popular category so wondered if anyone could help me.

When I was stationed in Malta (RAF) I did a lot of dinghy racing. There was a yacht called 'Rosanna' that was owned by the Squadron Leader dentist at RAF Luqa, name of Hycoe something.
Rosanna was a beautiful yacht, put me in mind of the Spirit yachts, very low profile, long raking bow and stern, large sail area.

Hycoe asked me to crew on the Middle Seas Race but after a couple of shakedown cruises I decided I couldn't do 'big yacht' sailing as I would be sick as a dog when we were on the opposite tack to the one I was allocated to work on. Same happened when I went out on one of the RAF launches (RTTL), when we stopped traveling I was immediately sea-sick.

Anyway, during that race in 1973 Rosanna broker her back going through the straits of Messina and I wondered if anyone knew what had happened to her after she was towed back to Malta. From memory I'm sure she didn't sink.

I also think she was one of the yachts built, and used by, the Nazi general staff, such as Himmler and Goering. Anyone know anything about this as well?
