I think that less than 2 is one or none.

Three reefs and spectacles. Way to go for a new main (Webcraft's suggestions, thank you).

Been fairly busy, 15 weeks and about 1800 miles so far but hard yakka as its been breezy most of the year.

For those not too sure, 15 is less than, say, 16 or 138.

Apart from a few school boats, the Solent would be empty, if you had to put a third reef in.

We know what you mean , we came through about a month ago with 35 knots of wind, at one point we had 11.6 knots (over ground) when we left Cadiz it was 10/15 knots so we still had everything up , fortunately it was up the chuff and wasnt a problem until we rounded up to drop the main ..... Now i have to replace some of her crockery

Well I've got 4, first two single-line. It depends if one has an undercanvassed boat.

I've had 2/5 sails without having to reef.
