Wahhhhheyyy....

I've just been offered a ride over Easter on an 18' skiff...... yes!... result!..... fastest thing i'll have ever sailed..../forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

darned things got a 100m2 kite... on a bleedin' 18 footer!!!!!!! ..... and thats ignoring the enormous main and jib......... which must be another 50m2 between 'em!!!!!!!!!!

I'm told that i'll need to hang on to the crew as the kite fills, or i'll fall of the back..... things hit 30kts!!!!!!!!

Cant wait!

I used to helm a twin trapeze asymmetric dinghy. What you also need to be prepared for is when you collapse the kite, the deceleration throws you forward. Nothing like taking someone new out and watching them fall into the bow of the boat after the first pull on the spinnaker downhaul (especially when you are out on the wire, feet firmly in footstraps).

Have fun.
