According to this article, we may be able to sail from the UK to Ireland after 19 July, as long as we are fully vaccinated. And presumably we don't have to self-isolate on return.

But I'm finding it hard to find definitive rules anywhere! Can anyone enlighten me?

We are currently in France, yes I know its not Ireland, and are returning after the 19th. We are required by English regulations to submit a negative COVID test 48 hours before departure and undertake another one two days after arrival. Both of us have had two vaccines.

Ireland has rules in place on visitors that when .I looked yesterday requires you to quarantine on arrival ‘at home’ so don’t think you’ll be allowed in...
best check on the Irish gov web page.
