As orgnaised i once was i now find myself in a bind you could say. I no longer have my passport nor my photo card driving license, overlooked when planning a trip to Alderney (pos France) the only ID i do have is the following:

Paper part of driving license
MCA Long range Radio license (looks like a passport)
MCA/RYA yachtmaster certificate
Copy of DOB Cert
Plus Credit cards.

ideas?

Of course the silly thing is that returning from Alderney you have to clear UK customs whereas returning from France you don't have to. Crazy or what...

Got searched by th French Douane once and I had no passport. They accepted as evidence of identity a climbing wall pass with my photo and name on it plus credit card with my name. They did phone their head office to check though!

Whilst planning our trip to Guernsey this year (postponed due to the winter weather!) the books say that you have to report to customs on arrival.

Not yet done it so don't know how it works out in practice.

I was certainly going to carry a passport just in case we were challenged.

Weather reports seem to hint that August is going to have summer weather.

Cross Fingers legs and anything else that I have two of and are long enough??
