Sailing Solent Tues/Wed .....eeeeek

Yep no one else out, now I know why! WHat a miserable two days. SE drizzle and heavy rain all Tuesday, all tuesday night and all wednesday. Fancy not checking the forecast first! Highlight was brunch of sausages, bacon, baked beans and fried bread whilst tied up on a pontton by Wicor Marine waiting for the tide to rise enough to get into Fareham. Oh well you need bad to appreciate good!

Can't say if I have sailed the Solet area, is it near the French coast and does it have creeks an stuff?

My fingers type ahead of my ageing brain. Edited and now hopefully saying Solent. Still got very damp and miserable. No doubt it will be lovely and sunny with a F3 SW by friday!!

It'll be wet and lumpy with MOD tugs charging up and down P'mouth harbour, since I REALLY don't need that lying on the engine working at arm's length and that inaccessible bit of the bilges waiting for small tools and vital bolts /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

The tugs were certainly tooing and froing yesterday as I motored back to Fareham.
