Sailing shoe wear

I've found my sailing shoes wear out too quickly on the heels and am thinking of adding a few segs to them. What is the best hanner to use to make them last?

Never used a hanner, but if you went for golf spikes you could put them in with a spanner. Come to think of it, I have got a full set of metric combination hanners. When I can't get something undone I usually end up wacking it with one.

Nail on some No5 and No2 Tricouni - your deck shoes will last for years, and you'll find that they really improve your grip on wet decks, particularly recommended for teak laid decks.

If using a hanner, best to use a left handed one, pref with rubber non slip grip.

Ainly wearem about ra boatie, wee man, an' they'll nae wear doon. Ask yerman Parahandy fer details, he's kept his since Henri Lloyd was nobbut a wee bairn. The airse on his breeks wearzoot mair quickly.

You could always try a reef in the laces, that might stop excessive heeling.
