Sailing School in the sun

I am a beginner planning to take my Competent Crew qualification and was considering doing this in the sunshine with Sunsail. Does anyone have experience of their school in the Canaries, or could recommend any other company that runs RYA courses in hot places Nov - Feb?

Try Rainbow sailing from Swansea who have a boat in Portugal I have heard that it is quite nice out there from a mate that went out there

I was thinking of exactly the same thing. Sunsail quoted me £695 for Tenerife in Feb, have you booked yet?
Went on a Sunsail Club holiday earlier this year in Antigua and found it to be beyond our expectations in terms of food, accommodation, and the amount and quality of kit that was available.

I have heard a few negatives about Sunsail courses overseas, so I have been looking at another company:

Cost is £490.00 for the 'Competent Crew' RYA course, which includes accommodation (on board 36ft) and Breakfast/lunch (evenings in pubs / restaurants).

Flights are on top, though I've found last minute flights to be around £100-150.

I hope to go early Dec.
