Sailing Muster (Clyde) 31st /08 – 1st & 2nd /09
Our Club has a promulgated muster to Tarbert (Loch Fyne) on the 1st & 2nd of September.
I always try to sail on the Friday (31st) to the CWSC (Cumbrae Water-Sports Centre) to allow extra time on the water, extend the weekend and because the CWSC has a substantial pontoon with helpful staff and a great bar for a social …. plus it’s a good central point for us all to meet-up.
Also due to the laws of physics …… 'I no go fast'
….. and! .... no it’s not my sailing abilities.

So if the weather allows (it has been the norm for it to be too rough & we all end-up at Rothesay or Largs) I intend to be in Tarbert (with guitar and ‘Rusty-Nails’) on the Saturday.
Obviously this could all change if the wind direction is totally against us on one of the days / transits, which means we could all end-up over at Arran.
But as the ‘end-of-season’ is closing fast lets get out there & have a fantastic sail & social.
OG.
Addendum:
My last sail with an ‘old pal’ and his new girlfriend (& new to sailing) was reported as ‘outstanding’…. & my ‘old-pal’ …. is a very experienced sailor.
Although it was quite rough (at times), with very little sun (twenty minutes over the whole weekend) we managed five locations not including Troon.
And from my point-of-view it was refreshing to sail with someone who knew what he was doing….. i.e. very relaxing & enjoyable for me!
