I'll be out there, based on previous experience (and the lack of replies to this thread) I think we will have the Solent to ourselves!

Planning on leaving Gosport Weds AM, maybe heading to yarmouth then Poole, coming back Friday, have yet to check tides / weather etc so plan may change.

Say hi if u get the chance, I am a bright yellow hull with black mast :)

Where abouts r u based / what boat?

OK, will give you a call if we see you.

We are not sure of specific plans - still discussing with SWMBO and offspring. Will stay in the SOlent, maybe overnight in Cowes or Yarmouth.

We are based in Hythe Marina, (Southampton), a Moody 346 called Moondance.

OK Richard and others,

We are planning to go west on the ebb after midday down to either Newtown or Yarmouth, and back on Thursday morning on the flood, via Cowes for some shopping at Bekens.

Give us a call on 16 if you are in the area,

Otherwise

Have Cut and Pasted this from another thread, just for completeness. It was a great couple of days - where was everybody? I dunno what;s wrong with you all!

Tacked down to Yarmouth on Wednesday afternoon, (but had to alter course to give way to another boat at one point!), met up with forumite Anthony and his lovely girlfriend and other crew for a couple of bevvies in the Kings Head.

Today, dead run downtide to Cowes, paid £6.40 for an hour at the Yacht Haven so we could spend Xmas money from SWMBO's parents at Bekens - but the shop is shut until 4th Jan! Received phone call from Col - they were heading for the Folly. Motored up there, rafted up next to Col's boat - and was relieved of another fiver in mooring fees, while we were in the pub for 45 minutes! Agreed with Col we should play swapsies next year - raggies go for a day out on a power boat, Moboers get a day out on a yacht.

Great sail back up S'oton water - screaming along in fact.

Will go on the short list for the best outings this year. Steady Force 4 from SW so quite mild, virtually flat sea, hardly any other boats around, and met up with some pleasant people.

Just need to go to Beken's another day!

Happy New Year!
