We will start going to Greece a few times per year and spend our summer holidays there. The villa is by the sea and half a mile away from a little harbour which is used by the local fishermen mainly. The location is Agii Apostoli near Kalamos in Attica opposite the island of Evia. I wonder if anyone has sailed around that area. My intention will be to hire a yacht for a few days at a time to sail around there. Any knowledge of the area?

A very pleasant area to cruise, with several ports and anchorages on Evia and the mainland. Generally more sheltered than outside Evia but there can still be plenty of wind. Close to Athens so can be very busy in August. Lavrion is a big charter centre, perhaps the nearest place to pick up a boat(?) We have anchored at Vassiliokho Cove, Xero island, Stira, Karavos, Eretria, all well worth visiting.
