Starting the 10th of July, the Atlantic Challenge hits Fishguard. http://www.atlanticchallenge.org.

I'm crew coordinator for the Belgian team; which means that if I do my job right, the crew is happy. And if I get it wrong, the crew starts slagging me off, which makes them happy. so I must be important.

But aside all that:what are the sailing secrets of Fishguard? Anything we should be aware of ? Any local conditions we should heed? What's the best site for weather info on Wales/Pembrokeshire/Fishguard.

From a crew coordinator point of view: what's the best pub?

All this would greatly help us defeat the Irish team, as they have won the cup both last times in Douarnenez (FR) 2000, and Rockland, ME (USA) 2002.

Honesty obliges me to mention that there is an English team participating as well.

BTW, is it just the Belgian summer that's depressing, or have we managed to stop global warming over the whole of Europe?
