Re: Go on then, tell us

This site probably has the largest viewing you're likely to get, unless you have a specific target audience in mind? What sort of regatta?

Brendan
I'm mindfull of not "advertising" on this site, but we have a keel boat regatta next year that I would like people to know about, to give them a chance to visit and take part

Re: Keels - on the east coast?

Ken is there any other type of racing?

All this round the cans in deep water is kids stuff. I always thought that you had to put a sand bank between 2 racing marks just to see if the skipper was alive!

BTW where else would you see in the sailing instructions the following<s>
1. 1 set of strong wheels to be fitted to the keel (to aid towing off sand banks/mud)
2. 1 pair of chest waders to be carried on all boats (to allow crew to go over the side without getting S****ed up to the eye balls when digging boat out, See 3)
3. 1 Spade to be carried to assist in digging boat out, for the use of the poor sod thats wearing the waders.
4. The following articals to be carried by all boats to keep crew happy whilst on an "over night stay" on the sand bank/mud.
TV
Food
Booze (lots of)
Page 3 girl (1 per crew male member)
One "He Man" contestant (for female crew only, strictly, only 1 per female crew. Any boat found carrying more that 1 "He man" per female crew will be classed as DNF=Did Not Finish)
Any "He men" found dead next morning must be disposed of by the skipper/owner.
Any female crew who "killed" He man will be classified as DND = Disquailifyed but definately Not Discardable.
