WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST

SATURDAY

An area of high pressure extends through southern parts of Ireland and the UK. Weak fronts affecting Ireland and Scotland.
The high pressure to the south gives mostly dry conditions and broken cloud. There will be some sunny spells, best to the east and south. Western and southwestern coasts may have some mist and fog drifting in at times.
Patchy rain and thicker cloud across Northern Ireland and much of Scotland, most of any rain in the west and southwest, although this should only be light.
Winds variable 8-12kt (F3) in southern areas with sea breezes on coasts, mainly SW 18-25kt (F5-F6) in Ireland and Scotland. Sea breezes developing, especially in southern and eastern areas.

SUNDAY

Pressure remains high over much of the UK and Ireland on Sunday. Weak fronts in Ireland and Scotland again giving some very light rain on hills here.
Much brighter to the south with some sunny spells although again there is a risk of some low cloud, mist and fog patches around western and southern coasts. Sea breezes developing into the afternoon.
Winds variable 10-12kt (F3-F4) in many areas, SW 2 to 16kt (F4) in Ireland and Scotland.

HOLIDAY MONDAY
---------------------------
Pressure is expected to be staying high through holiday Monday. Weak fronts trouble western Ireland and the far north of Ireland.
There will be some sunny spells for most, the best sunshine in much of England and eastern Wales.
Some cloud and drizzle in the far north of Scotland and western Ireland.
Sea breezes again developing on coasts.
Winds variable 8-12kt (F3-F4) overall but S-SW 12-18kt (F4 occ F5) in the west.
