which engine configuration do you suggest?
im used to yanmars and in past had sonic leg drive.
boats im viewing have either volvo or yanmar
engines 20/30hp

I would definitely prefer the sonic leg. My cat design did not allow me to do so, so I ended up with a diesel outtboard instead. Given my own choice, I would have gone for a beta engine of 28-35hp (dependent on boat).

yes, its a cat!
i`m looking at wildcat 35! norseman 400! lagoon 38/42! tobago 35! etc.
these come with either yanmar or volvo engines and saildrives.
my previous boat was a prout snowgoose 34 with yanmar & sonic engine/drive
why am i changing?
need a cat that sails to windward and can carry all chain for anchors.
been boatless since october 2003!
