After damaging my genoa last weekend, I dug out a spare sail that I have and at the tack, there is a large patch of transparant reinforced plastic patching, that has been partially sown and stuck to the sail. part of the stuck part has come unstuck, can anyone recommend a good adhesive suitable for resticking this?

sail glue

If it was me I would use any adhesive to hand. A contact cement the one that you allow to dry before pressing together might be a first choice but even a super glue type should be OK. olewill

I asked a very similar question a couple of weeks ago and the majority answer was that it's best given to the sail loft for stitch repair. Self-adhesive repair tape (I used 4 inch wide) will affect a temporary repair only (mine had started to peel away from the sail). I asked for glue recommendations, too. Upon reflection, I think the advice given was to me was well meant.
