Sail Repair in Athens

Can anyone please recommend an honest, efficient and reasonably priced sailmaker in Athens? I need a new sacrificial strip on the genoa. My yard's quote, last July, was 450 Euros for doing a 11.6M luff and 5.85M foot (inc. unstitching the old one). Seemed a bit pricey to me!

Had my sails made by DL Sails in Athens. Quality and workmanship OK but don't know about price. 450 not super high if it includes VAT. Would be around £250 in UK. Your yard is taking a cut. Best to go direct to the sailmaker.

Unfortunately (very unfortunately indeed, because he was a very nice guy) my sailmaker passed away last summer. But, most of my friends use kakitsis sails and so will I next time (he has already made my assymetrical and I 'm more than pleased).

Kakitsis has an address in Keratea. Is that where his loft is also?

DL sails loft flooded last month during the torrential rain that hit Athens.I'm not sure if they re-opened it.I think that Kakitsis is also around Milrolimano in Pireas but if you're around there ask around as there are also others that can do such a minor repair.

i have sent my genoa for the same job and expect to have it back on the end of the month. will revert with the cost.
the sail is similar size to yours
