sail question

Am about to finalise sail choice for my new RM1050. Following much advice received, both from fellow forumites and general reading, am opting for a cruising laminate. I have 2 choices, 'ACL' model, double taffeta sandwich, or the'genesis' membrane model, both from Elvstrom/Sobstadt. The Genesis sail is about double the price of standard dacron, the 'ACL' model about 50% more. Perusing the websites of Sobstadt (both UK and France) tells me a lot about the 'Genesis' technology, but does not help me to gain any more knowledge of what 'ACL' refers to. Can anyone enlighten me?

I always thought it stood for Associated Containers ltd, They used to have a depot in Ellesmere Port, but I don't suppose that helps very much does it?
