So, at the end of the season we want to loft our sails, get the canvas work cleaned, have a 3rd reed put in the main and have any minor repairs done. We like to support local - which will be North Shields / Newcastle this year.

A couple of locals say that there isn't really anyone up here. Are they right? If not, who would you recommend?

If no-one around, we'll take the stuff back down to Southampton where there are plenty of options.

Not sure who your talking to but they sure do not know what they are talking about.

I can recommend Steve Douthwait does a good job at a reasonable price and will customize whatever you want

If your heading for Royal Quays Marina that's fine as he does most of the work there and anyone will recommend him buit he gets busy in the winter so suggest you contact him asap to book you in
