Sail cleaning and repair in wales

Hello,

I've just taken the mainsail from its canvas cover on the boom and it looks as though some dampness has crept in. Not sure what the sail is made of but it feels like some form of plastic. Green and dark mold seems to have taken hold and even eaten through it in one small patch.

Does anyone know of a sail repair and cleaning service in south Wales? Either Cardiff or Newport ideally.

Try josh at Severn sails in Cardiff. He'll give you an honest opinion and do any repairs. Think he sends the sails off for cleaning (a lot of lofts do).
