Saftey in Petrol boats

So how did it end?? Did the final denoument kill the camera man?? Did he escape from the roof minus his camera, only to recover it later??

Crackin' piece of film though - and at 4.7M is much better on broadband.

An excursion out to sea on a particularly rough day. My only reason to be out in waves 8' high was that I was laying turn markers for a yacht race during our regatta. The boat took a pounding and unknown to me, the fuel tank, weakened by years of galvanic corrosion, ruptured....spilling 30 odd gallons of petrol which made its way into the engine bay.

I motored back into port blissfully unaware that both my engines were happily churning away knee deep (well up to the top of the mounting blocks) in petrol.

Not good. Not to be repeated. New tank fitted.

I wonder how many tanks in 10 - 20 year old boats have been checked / replaced / owner blissfully unaware???
