Three boats were used in H's Way, Sadler Barracuda 45, Laser 28 and MG Spring 25, the Barracuda used in filming was called Barracuda I think (its rather famously been sunk at least twice), the laser 28 called Flying Fish is still racing out of Hamble and there were many Spring 25's.
I worked at the sailing school at the time that supported the BCC with some of the nautical type stuff, memory a bit hazy for two reasons, went to pub at lunch time and it was long time ago.
