Hi Folks,
I've become the new owner of 'Rondo' a Sadler 32
.
I understand she is a local boat, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knows her, or has owned this boat in the past.
I've spent my spare time since the New Year sorting out run-of-the-mill aux. engine, window, gas and electrics issues - it's time to look at the 'main engine'.
I've got a few questions on the rigging layout - in particular the spinnaker pole downhaul rig, which appears to have some missing mountings, and the vang/kicker which doesn't look quite right to me, yet the fittings are clearly of the correct 'vintage'.
As another 'for instance' she has 2 genoa halyards, a spinnaker halyard, and yet another halyard to the fwd side of the masthead, as well us uphaul and masthead pennant halyard. That's a busy masthead for a boat that now features a single roller-reefed genoa. It would be great to work out what all of these were originally installed for, and what the rig was before the roller foil went on.
If I can discover the original intentions, it might make it easier to piece together the optimal way to reeve everything, and work out what to keep if I ever get the time to refurbish the running rig.
I'd be very grateful if anyone would fancy PM'ing me.
Regards
Jeff
