After reading the thread on "Allowable water ingress amount ?" I thought some of you might find this both interesting, and sobering.
I was down at the boat this morning, and saw the boat in the pic below on a nearby mooring.........
The guy who services the moorings was down in the yard, talking about trying to lift her at low water. Step 1 was to get a strop secured, and lift gently........
Step 2, get some pumps running.........
Step 3, gently does it........
Step 4, repeat step 3.........
Step 5, repeat steps 3 & 4..........
Step 6, look closely and you'll see the outout from the pump, and also the mooring warp and pick up bouy..........
Step 7, tow her quickly round to the yard, and crane her out............ No pics I'm afraid, although I was there and talking to the crew from the salvage boat and the owner of the motorboat.
No obvious reason for why she went down either (sometime on friday) albeit a little speculation about the bellows on one of the outdrives.
