I thought it was all sewn up! After months of agonising, the boat was advertised and after only a week a buyer came along, had two sea trials, arranged for haul out and survey and then went on holiday. During the holiday he had a bad fall and sprained his wrist. While at A & E in France he was diagnosed with Osteo-arthritis and told to forget about boats and any other energetic hobbies like his other love of golf. My disappointment at losing the sale pails into insignificance at this poor chap having to rethink his entire life and retirement.
LIfe's not always a beach!

Allways frustrating when a sale falls through .Pershilla is a lovely looking boat (for a mobo :-) ) Im sure another buyer will emerge.

Bit of a body blow for the other bloke though.

That's a shame.

We saw her ourselves earlier in the year and saw she was for sale.

Ours is up for sale at the moment looking to trade up but 40' is just a bit big- we did look longingly at her though.

Yep, Afraid it's all down to costs. We don't have the time for long trips anymore and it is not right for her to sit there doing nothing. She needs to be out on the briney doing ten hour trips day after day like we used to do. So it's going to have to be a much smaller "whizzer". After months of looking at all sorts of US sports cruisers it seems the final choice will come down the size of the mid cabin bed. I like the Regal 2665 but then I saw Beneteau Ombrine which seems to have the very best layout and even has side decks so that the lines and fenders forward can be dealt with properly. Looks more traditional in lines with my own looks! I'll have to contain my loathing of everything French though!
