Just heard about the sad demise of a guy I helped deliver his Moody 38 back to Poole from Alicante (also instructed on his ocean nav course.)
Not a young guy, but fit.
Had the guts to sail to New Zealand, visiting his son, then continued back to UK, entertaining us with tales of his exploits en-route.
Unfortunately lost overboard between Port Elizabeth & Cape Town. Ken Halls RIP
