No experience of that particular design but Angelo Levranos is a well respected designer in Southern Africa.

At least one forum member has an L(avranos) 33 ( or does he have two /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) that has/have been plying the seas for 25 years or so.

Lavranos was an ex Bruce Farr designer, and is based in NZ but has builds done in South Africa. I seriously looked at buying one of his Compass 47 design boats before Full Circle, and it was impressively designed and constructed.
On that one experience, I would say its worth investigating.

I am currently building a Lavranos 50 ft which is a very simular design in steel and have been in contact with Anglo several times.

Have a look at the details at
http://www.clearlink.co.za/boat.asp to see prograss.

Hope to complete later this year.

I hate to tell you this but 'You're going the wrong way!'

( And for those unfamiliar with SA, Cape Town = major port and city at the tip of Africa and Johannesburg = major city 5000' amsl, 1400 km from Cape Town and about 600km from the nearest salty water.)
