I managed to lose my remote over the side whilst scrambling around etc etc. And by the time I had noticed, it was too late, so have just purchased another.
2 questions-the lanyard supplied is pretty flimsy, anyone got any suggestions for more secure attachment to one's person? And second, the original base station is obviously still installed (which means I now have a second one!), but initial power up of the remote this morning and I got a 'no connection' signal. How do i configure my new remote with the original base station? Or do i have to swap base stations? Thanks

Download manual here
You can use original base station.
In the set up procedure you have to select type of boat..sail, power etc.
From there it's pretty easy as I recall having done it a few months ago myself.

Registration procedure on page 28 of manual.

Mine came off the lanyard when it snagged on something. Fortunately it fell into the cabin. The small bit of plastic that the lanyard goes around had snapped at one end. I reattached the lanyard and dripped some resin into the space around it. It won't come off now.

Have either of you found a way to switch off the S100 once switched on ???
Yes go to standby and wait an eternity, but I would like to switch it off without having to rip out the batteries....which isnt a quick job.

I also lost a remote over the side. Fitting is weak but rather lose over side than be strangled.

The remote is waterproof but does not float. I now have mine in a waterproof bag thingy and one of those baloon type devices that inflate when submerged.

Hope never to put it to the test but I now feel reasonably safe.
