RYA to leave Hampshire hinterland

From March 2003 the RYA is moving to RYA House, Ensign Way, Hamble, Hants SO31 4YA. The new telephone number will be 0845 345 0400, fax 0845 345 0329 and the website remains www.rya.org.uk.

The RYA new premises will, unlike their current HQ at Eastleigh, assemble all services under one roof.

The RYA say the new building will help staff 'carry out its multiple roles more effectively.'

Bill had a good old rant about this before he left and I think the thread ran to a hundred or so posts.

Anyone who has visited the Eastleigh HQ will know that the RYA simply had to move. A location relatively close by was equally essential in order to retain key staff.

This would be a good topic to quiz Rod on tomorrow afternoon.
