I assume the Notified Bodies carry out conformity assessments and certification for a fee? I guess that Business in the UK has dried up [1] so they need to look at other ways to keep their technical people busy?
Which leaves AV TECHNOLOGY LTD, HPi Verification Services Ltd & THE VEHICLE CERTIFICATION AGENCY in the business.
So I just don't see where "The surprise decision was made following a review of the RYA Notified Body activities which found the RYA had achieved the majority of its goals set back in 1998." comes into it? Anyone know what the goals were?
[1] Builders often building 10pc of the boats they were building 10 years ago. Worldwide an average of two builders going to the wall every week in the last few years.
