RYA Boat Share contract - Where to find

Potentially looking at a 50/50 boat ownership share with a good friend of mine to make this sailing malarkey more affordable. We have similar ideas on what we both want from it so it does look a good prospect.

I understand that the RYA have various draft contracts but not sure where to look.
Any other recommendations for paperwork are greatly appreciated

You will find it in the section on buying a boat in the advice section of the website (members only). There is a subset on Syndicates which contains the model syndicate agreement, which you can use as a basis for yours.

With regard to paperwork, the agreement would be enough to show clearly what the rights and obligations of each member are and particularly what happens if it is dissolved. If your partner is taking a financial interest then makes sense to sell him the share transferring title to him for his share with a Bill of Sale. There is an explanation of how to do this in the same section. If he has an interest then this should show on other key documents such as the insurance policy and a contract for mooring.
