RWO 38mm Triple Blocks.......

As far as I am aware, ball bearing blocks are not recommended where the load does not move much - e.g. a kicker. The small movements under high loads wears the ball bearings out quickly. Plain bearings are better for this kind of load, and ball bearings are better for loads that move quickly, such as mainsheets or genoa sheets.
 
Not ideal for the reason stated, ball bearings are poor for continual loads as the races become pitted by the constant point loading of the ball bearings (if enough load) ok we could get into the whole "will the tension be that constant" but - use a plain type bearing block, end of problem .
