Generally in good condition but two small areas of rust creeping through anti fouling. The keel is metal and epoxy coated when new (according to Jeanneau spec sheet.) Last year I sanded and coated the bulb with primocon and this still looks good, but i think the bulb is lead. How do I treat the rust on the blade of the keel?

For small areas I would scrape off the loose flaking rust; hammerite, primacon then re-antifoul because the chances of doing anything more effective are remote. Eventually you will probably need to sandblast the keel and re-epoxy.

I agree but have had bad experiences using hammer / snooth rite... just stick to a few coats of primocon and you should be okay !

I wire brushed mine and gave it 6 coats of Primocon (1 for Luck) and 2 years on no sign of rust. As the keels are inches thick surface rust isn't going to keep me awake at night.

Treat the rust with Vactan, If you are out for the winter and have time paint with Hammerite, leave for 6 weeks or more, before antifoul.
If time is an issue Vactan, lots of Primacon coats, then antifoull

Agree except I wouldn't use hammerite. I've had problems with it under water. Suggest a couple of coaats of rex oxide (cellulose based one not the white sprit one) then the Primacon
