All my t shirts or rather most of them have rust stains on. I always though these were from pegs.

After a discussion with swmbo about her new skirt not getting ruined, we now hang our laundry "inside out" so any stains picked up aren't on the good side.

So last week I purchased a new white t shirt. Then washed it before hanging on the rail, inside out, and pegging it at the mid point of the t shirt ( kind of between navel and nipples).

This morning I take the t shirt off the rail , put it on....... Feckin rust stains on both sides of both shoulders.

No where near where it was pegged , ( which are aluminium btw) . I cannot figure this out. It had never been washed before , and was new last week.

Insights please, :)

What's the problem , we all have brown rush on our T shirts . You are now officially a member of the brown stain club .
We first wear our new T shirt , then they are used for polishing , next for wiping the oil of the dip stick by that time no one will see the brown marks .

My guess is that's not rust but staining from critters or wind-blown seeds etc. Next test - hang something up as before but cover it in a tea towel and see which get the stain. My guess is that'll be the tea towel and not from the pegs/rail.

I said spiders but also here in Florida we get yellow stains from pollen too, my car gets covered in it.

£10 for 40 pegs ...... I'm from Yorkshire and even I don't think that's too bad. Where the hell must you lot come from?

Richard

Edit - and if you still think that's too much, how about a special offer on the same pegs, 80 for £10, but act quickly!

(although the excellent ones we actually bought years ago were http://www.exquisitescotland.com/merchandise/k-pegs/ but there seem to by more varieties available now. Right, I'm going off to watch some paint dry somewhere!)
