Rust stains on Halyards.

I found a bag of halyards in a forgotten locker. They are in very good nick apart from some rust stains,
Any advice on getting rid of the rust stains please?

The answer to all problems is oxalic acid. Make up a saturated solution and dunk the halyards. Magic will happen and the stains will disappear.

+ 1 for oxalic acid, works wonders.
You should be able to buy in Spain.

Rinse out thoroughly afterwards. You wont want oxalic acid leaching out onto your hands at some later date!
