Has anybody used this?

I was going to use a wire brush in a drill but this thing is purpose built......at a high price. Is it worth it?

£300 - 400 plus accessories seems a bit steep Seems to be marketed for the restoration of "classsics".

So unless you're after a perfect finish I reckon you'd be better spending your cash on a semi-decent angle grinder and some wire brushes - you could manage that for less than half the price if you use ebay, etc. and end up with a useful tool for other jobs as well.

I guess it depends what you want it for - but I wouldn't if it's for keels.

If you do by one I'd be very interested in whether if was worth the money or not.

The problem with any rust removal that create steel dust is that even if you are extremely careful you can end up with minute rust stain flecks all over you boat.
