Can anyone recommend a supplier for my running riging. I am looking for a supplier that can turn the order around quickly, but of course I am also looking for a very good price :-)

Any suggestions. One I have had so far is Jimmy Green, but are there any cheaper?

Many thanks

Jimmy Green gets my vote.

Usual triangle - speed, quality and price - you only ever get two out of the three.

Not sure what you want. Do you want a recommendation for a rope supplier, or do you need splicing, snap shackles, maybe wire to rope halyards...? You'll get a better price on rope if the supplier doesn't have to do anything beyond cutting and mailing.

Rob.

Ideal I would like a soft eye loop spliced....other than that nothing. I could always do it myelf, but I would prefer not to have the hassle

I was most impressed with these guys, don't mess around on line ring them and get proper service.

I have to say the prices for both outdoorxscape.co.uk and boatropes on ebay are very good!! I have been emailing boatropes, and getting instant replies. He can also splice the ropes for me for £3.90! I am swaying towards boatropes simply because they are fairly local to me, so I am tempted to go along and pick them up.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think the boatropes couldnt have worked out better for me!! Cheers everyone, Ill order and come back to let you know what I think of them

Thanks again

Ok, so in the end I did get all three! Speed, Quality and Price. So thanks for the suggestions everyone!

I bought from Boatropes in the end. I explained what I was needing them for, and what boat they were for, and he went and looked at the sailboat data for me so he knew exactly what length I needed. I also took my old halyards with me just to confirm and was shown different examples without trying to upsell, quite the opposite in fact. I explained I was in a bit of a hurry to get to Holyhead, so he got them done within 40 mins. He also only really does mail order, so I may have thrown his routine/schedule out but he didn't mind. The ropes feel like they are very good quality too! All in all very happy, and would definitely recommend Barry (Boatropes on eBay) to anyone.
