Web site went down yesterday afternoon and is still down at the moment. There are, as I understand it, techy types doing there bestist in Slough to put matters right.

I have received several telephone messages asking me if they are going to get their orders, trust is a pretty fragile commodity. The only problem is that I've lost one nights taking running up to Christmas, so I hope it doesn't last long.

Disagree chum - its an excellent very clear and easy site with a first class reputation for customer service.

Never used the Nautica site so can't comment there.

Which marine trade company do you work for? Given your comments in your three posts to date, I'd like to stay as far away from your company as possible

If he's for real, and not a wind up merchant, then he's a complete cad and bounder /forums/images/icons/frown.gif No one should ever, ever, cast aspersions on the worth of another persons boat (2nd post)

Tightarse are you for real???

Tightarse

Having looked at your two other "contributions" to this forum I have never seen such infantile, negative, "chip on shoulder" and unfunny comments.

For many this forum is an excellent medium to exchange knowledge and friendship so please think before hitting the keys as you really are only making yourself look particularly stupid.

There must be better ways to attract attention to yourself....

Thank you

Nick

Enough

You recommend Nauticalia, which has taken over the ashes of MMS Direct.

You register using a false email address featuring the name of a well-known Thames business director.

I am aware that you were connected with MMS before its demise.

You have broken several forum rules, on several occasions now.

Duly banned along with two other identities...please spare me the inconvenience of having to do this for what will be at least the fourth time if it happens again. I'm sorry if you have your own personal vendetta to pursue but the place is not here. My sympathy would not prevent me from reporting any abuse of service issues to your ISP and email provider is this happens again.

NASA instrument covers

Just for interest, since you were not asking, I thought I might pass this on.

I found the covers marked the instruments. Kind of gave them a spotty appearance, that would only come out (nearly) with lots of plastic polish. My solution was to stick some of the soft side of velcro inside, it does not take much about 2cm square, enough to keep the cover from rubbing directly on the screen.

Hope this helps someone in the future!
