I have a Vetus rudder position indicator neatly fitted by a previous owner but don't ask me why but the only bit he fitted was the actual indicator itself at the helm . Anybody know what it is I need to finish the job an where would I get it from?
thanks

Rudder potentiomiter and rudder arm to pot link and a length of light electrical cable to run between the pot. & instrument. Any Vetus stockist should get it for you and it should have the wiring instructions with it. Esentially it will be, power + in one side of the instrument, power + out the other to one side of the pot and thence to - return.

Have a look at the technical area on the Vetus web site. There will be a pdf copy of the manual there. I installed one last last year, as part of a full steering system and auto pilot. It works well and was straight forward to install.

Cheers

Colin
