Hi everyone,
I'm new to this so don't know if this is the sort of question I can get help with.
I am a sad old sod who has lusted after a Microplus 501 for the past 25 years or so. I recently found an "example" of the marque and am currently attempting a restoration. Things are progressing fairly well but before I can finish her I will need to source the rubbing strake.
Anyone got any ideas?
Also does anyone know if such a creature as a "Microplus Owners Club" exists?
My boat is No. 5966, so there must be loads of them still afloat...mustn't there?
Thanks for any input.

G'day JonD, and welcome to the forum,

Re rubbing strake, I'm not familiar with your craft but am almost sure that a rubbing strake can be obtained, 'off the shelf' without the need to contact the original manufacturer.

no doubt some our readers will point you in the right direction, it will help if you add a little more information to your profile, location would be handy.

Avagoodweekend.

Hi Jon, welcome to the forum.

Likewise I don't know the boat but try Seals Direct.

Might not be of much help but I will tell you anyway. There is a firm in Lisbon makes rubbing strake to order, so there must be one in UK also. Try a search on Google
