I am renovating the switch panel for my Yanmar engine. The rubber rings/washers that seal the various instruments (tacho, buzzer, electric switch) to stop water ingress between the instrument and the panel have perished. Does anyone know of a retail outlet that sells such rings/washers in small quantities? The "on-off-on" checking switch had a rubber cover which also has perished is there also a source for one or two of these. Thanks.

Hi Lord Nelson,
I managed to purchase on those rubber switch covers from a chandlery (I think it was Aladdin's Cave) a couple of years ago. Even at chandlery prices it was only a pound or 2 as I recall.

Cheers,
Paul

Some starters...

You can get splashproof rubber switch covers from Index Marine. You can buy rubber O-ring material by the metre from places like Altec and make your own seals to the required size.
