my current boat, like my last one, has lead keels bolted to a grp stub keel and with a rubber strip covering the join. The rubber is maybe 40mm wide and 3 mm thick. It does look as if it is a self adhesive strip because the edges are cut and parallel.

anybody know what type of rubber it is - doesnt look like silicone, more like real rubber. More to the point, where can I buy the strip?

No different from any other keel and the seal is normally a mastic of some sort, typically one that cures and is an adhesive. Around the joint this may look like a separate seal. I could be wrong, but like others I have never seen such an arrangement. This seems specific to your Sadler and it might be worth asking mike Lucas Yachting about how the keels were attached or Stephen Jones who designed it uk.linkedin.com/in/stephen-jones-6461a035
