Rubber goods (or: how long...)

Having crossed the Atlantic with a 25 year old WW2 Metzeler liferaft (in good order, I inflated it before repacking), and being the owner of a perfectly serviceable 1972 Pirelli inflatable, what sort of life is it "reasonable" to expect from inflatables and liferafts nowadays.

About a week apparently, especially when you read about peoples problems when they service their life rafts.
