did anyone else see the article about a family up the amazon with engine problem? Nigel calder's book diagnosed it as water in the engine and they followedinstruction to handcrank it all out, and then it said inthe book they had to "change the oil twice". Which seemed to involve a 5-day trip through the jungle for someone back to nearest town for more oil where they had in fact changed the oil only a few days earlier. Sheesh! Or did i read that they had enough for one oil change but not two? Whatever. Anyway they won a prize for writing about the trip so it's all fine I suppose. I note one the judges was RKJ, another rtw sailor expert in the matter of bustd boats...
