Royal Yacht (ex) - Standards Slipped

It is 2230hrs, way after sunset and I am looking at the back end of the ex RY Britannia in Leith Docks and she still has the white ensign hoisted. Apart from the sunset issue, should she be wearing a white ensign atall seeing as she is no longer owned by the Royal Navy?

Probably a connection with RYS, there seems to me nothing quite so odd as a sailing yacht flying a warship ensign.

I think white flags look nice. I was going to get one for my boat but I have decided the Union Jack is prettier so I got that instead.
