Royal Sovereign Light Tower for sale ?

I've just spoken with my bro (ex lifeboatman, Eastbourne) and he says that there are stories of Trinity House flogging off the Light Tower for a private residence.

In the middle of an oil exploration square, more than 3 miles offshore, are we in for another UDI ?

It is already (or was) rented out to a member of the public. I had the chance of flying out to land on it a couple of years back but unfortunately never got around to arranging it.

Royal Sovereign is not the only one this week. Hartland Point Lighthouse (N Devon) came up for sale this week, too.
