Rowers out again - Tedd Head Nov 3rd and Kingston Head Nov 17th

The rowers are racing from Hampton Court to Stevens Ait, Teddington on 3rd and 17th November, closing the river between 10-12 and 1-3pm. Here's hoping for reasonable weather! :)

Jolly good luck to you!
It's in the winter that the River comes alive with hardy rowers.
All us "silly boaters" are locked in with many locks being "refurbished" for the winter.

SO row, row, row and enjoy the peace...

Well weren't we lucky - weather held up, sunny, but windy and stream fast enough to have to cancel the youngest racers. But today, got up to thunder and lightning and heavy winds! :(

Yep, you had a lovely day for it on Saturday. Nice couple of pics.

Sunday moring was a bit of a different story though ! Up at Maidenhead we had really torrential rain around 07.30/08.00 but it eased off so we went out, not the nicest conditions I have to say, got 1 lap in but then we also got some lightning so had to deboat and that was it.

Lucky for you that the weekend was that way round weather wise.

Yes, Saturday was dry, sunny & cold but Sunday was very wet. Some were lucky with their firework displays and bonfires but some were not.

Fours Head at Putney and Lord Mayor's Flotilla in London, this weekend, so fingers crossed, especially as I've just found out that I'm Coxing in the latter! :)!
