Me too. Arrived in Heybridge on first lock on Sat - Martin the Lock keeper is very helpful. Seemed a shame to be going in when all the fun was kicking off!

Watched the end of the round the island with a pint in hand. Afternoon by lockside with Tasman (Colin & Moira) - pre Med deployment drinks - which led into a great supper and evening in the Ship. Sunday was a late start locking out with Tasman & others with fireworks to mark Colin and Moira's departure. Splendid send off for them.

Motored in company with Tasman to off Bradwell when wind picked up for a great sail over to Colne (even though it rained a bit). Ashore for Curry in evening.

Will certainly do Heybridge again - just didn't get to meet Al or see Dave! The place was packed with people - room for loads more boats! Forum meet next year??

Told by Mike (Black Rose) there might be a sea shanty festival there in April next year.

Saw Colin on Sunday morning but had to get back for some urgent medical treatment that Louise needed so missed the departure
