Round the Island Race

This may already have been covered but I see round the island race has moved to 26th Sept.
After SBS. I’m a little surprised they didn’t just cancel it. End of September won’t be too popular for families. Has a date been set for the Scuttlebut Cherbourg trip?

Which island is that? The Round Mull Race bit the dust some time ago. West Highland Yachting Week (1st week of August) is making a decision at the end of this month but, in my view, is unlikely to go ahead - if it does it could be the biggest and best ever (or not)!

The Eddystone Pursuit has been "postponed" until later in the year with an expectation that it will get cancelled.

i wonder if we will be able to cross la manche this year?

Why not rearrange it...generates a huge amount of money for the solent boating industry and cowes and requires little infrastructure to put on. Park a committee boat outside cowes breakwater, charge people 150 a time to sail past it and put a few flags up. Then sit there for a few hours on the G and T and write down the order they come past again. Jobs a goodun.
