DB missed out Alnmouth. Pleasant and improving village with creditable marina. Agree Glenarm particularly agreeable unlike marina at Carlingford (in 2005). The east coast is not all bad, especially in July/August. Prevailing SW/NW winds are offshore and have usually dropped most of their frontal rain before it reaches the North Sea. Different matter in May though. Cold strong NE winds sap your strength as you claw up toScotland. Firths of Forth and Moray have splendid harbours if your ship-can take the ground. Well worth the trip.
